sleep over!!

Ok, I survived the Sleep Over but I was soooo busy that I didn't really get any pictures. Sorry bout that. However, we had a wonderful time with Emma & Abby at our house. They are such sweethearts. They had a blast playing in the swimmy pool, jumping on the air matress, watching Full House, playing house, eating Ice cream Sundaes and so much more. Mag and Gracie just loved keeping up with the big girls! CP and Abby did wake up around 3:30 though and got scared b/c they couldn't find me. So I spent the rest of the night on the couch beside them. I loved it though. I remember having sleep overs when I was little and they are great memories for me. I hope they will be great memories for my babies too.

Yesterday, Rachel, Emily and Bailey came to spend Friday with us. We had sooo much fun. The girls played in the new swimming pool that NaNa bought for us. It was loads of fun. Especially putting rocks in the pool from the flower bed. It was a lot of fun putting the rocks back too so Daddy wouldn't haved a fit about it. We are soooooo glad they came but Mommy was pooped. Emma and Abby are spending the night with us tonight. I'll get some pics of that too. Well if we all make it till morning that is!! :)

Trike-A-Thon!!

Yesterday Clara Paige had a Trike-a-Thon at her Preschool for St. Jude's. We went to support her and her classmates. She won for most colorful Trike. It was a fun time for all the kidos. Well ok, not so much for Maggie!

Well it was just a really nice Saturday. Clara Paige went to a birthday party for a friend of her MiMi's. There was swimming, blowing bubbles, playing outside and popsicles from the ice cream truck. Maggie had to run inside to tell her Daddy that the Ice Cream truck gave her a big popsicle! Saturdays are great!

Saturday night after the big Talladega trip, Clara Paige and I went to Emily Dodson's dance recital. Clara Paige loved it and she actually got to see "Hannah Montana" sing and dance while we were there. Emily did a great job and I'm so glad she and CP are such good friends. And CP told me she really, really, really, really wants to be able to get up on that stage and dance one day too! So I guess there will be dance lessons in our future some day! Also Sunday, on Mother's Day, we spent the day with Nana and Meme. We went to church and brunch with Nana and went to Meme's to swim in her pool. As you can see, Clara Paige and Gracie enjoyed the water. Maggie wasn't so crazy about it. I guess she thought that little orange fish from her dream might be in there! It was a great and exhausting weekend!!

This was a big and busy weekend for our little circus!! Saturday Alex got to go to the Talladega race track Driving Experience. As you can see he definitely had an excellent time. As I am not a huge "Dega" fan, I really had a very good time too. Lots of the guys that Alex works with in the Pit Tour Club were there. Clara Paige made some new friends and thought Daddy looked like a real race car driver! He did great driving his car. He's a natural at anything that goes FAST! We had a great Mother's day too! I'll post some pics of that in a minute!!

Family Updates

Well, the house is showing today. That is good news since it just went on the market last week. Hopefully it won't take too long to sell but we are ready for the long haul if necessary. It sure is hard work mentally and physically keeping a house clean and tidy for potentional buyers.
My cousin Courtney and her husband Dave, welcomed their new little addition to their family Moday, May 7th. We went to visit him Monday night and he is such an adorable little baby. Lawson Meriwether Long is his name. Courtney, Jamie and I are the only girl grandaughters out of a whole slew of boys so it's kinda extra special for my first girl cousin to be a mom for the first time. Congrats to them and lots of prayers for the new family.
Mom just told me a little while ago on the phone (the twins are in Bham at mom's house for a few nights) that Maggie had a bad dream last night. She woke up at 1:30am crying and when mom went in to check on her she was throwing her covers all over the place yelling "FISH, FISH!" Apparently she was dreaming there was a fish in her bead. She told "Nana" that the fish got her foot. She was trying her hardest to find that fish!! She never caught him though! :)

sunny Saturday!

We had a really nice weekend here in our little circus we call our family! We played outside, ate popsicles, went to Emma & Abby Lawson's house, went to the Riverboat. It was so nice to spend the weekend at home with my family. The girls really loved the Riverboat ride. It was nice and relaxing and lots of fun! The weather was wonderful too!!
Also, Clara Paige tried out her first sleep over with Emma & Abby! She made it all the way till 9:30 and got home sick. So I jumped in the van to go get her. Better luck next time I guess!

Well, it's official, the Hicks family will be moving out of Northport/Tuscaloosa sometime soon. We have put our home up for sale and look to move back to Birmingham. Actually we will probably end up in Shelby county. Once the house sells we will be living with my parents for a while till we find the right house for us! We have really prayed and thought this decision over and feel that is it the right thing for our family! We have loved every memory that we have made here in Ttown but it's time for these Tigers to move on . Keep us in your prayers and if ya know of anyone looking for a great home in a great neighborhood, send 'em this way won't ya?!

Kids are funny

Last night we were watching American Idol sitting on the couch and Clara Paige found one of her makeup kits and proceeded to the kitchen table. After several minutes of primping she pops up behind the couch and declares with bright pink clown lips and serious as she can be, "Do I look Hot?" Its amazing how much their little brains pick up on a daily basis! What a hoot!! I guess we have our own little American Prissy Pot in our home. And there are two little clones following right behind her.
