Coach......

Today we were all in the van on the way back to Nana's house and the girls were watching the DVD player. Amazingly enough they were watching the AUBURN Update DVD we got in the mail. I can't imagine that it was very interesting but they loved looking at the eagle and Aubie. Anyway, Clara Paige explained to me that Coach was on the screen. I asked her what coach and she said, "You know coach Tigerville!"
You know that you think that is cute no matter who you pull for.

WAR EAGLE COACH TIGERVILLE!!!!

Last week as unemployed

So I start my new job next Tuesday. I'm excited but a little bummed that I have to actually start working again. It will be nice to have some scheduled days again but I'm definitely not one to have to have a job to feel accomplished!! Being a great mom is surely more defining for me.
ANYWAY, I was in Emily Jones' wedding last Friday night and it was a very pretty classy occasion. She looked the part of a beautiful bride and if you know Emily she deserved HER day more than most. I also got to spend some really great time with some very precious friends from my "growing-up" days. It was sooooo wonderful seeing Bethany, Katy, Emily C and her whole family and more. We spent some fun time reminiscing about old times and all the fun we had growing up. We all grew up at Homewood Church of Christ together and those are days that I will never forget. However, I would like to forget how terribly bad my feet hurt from those shoes we had to wear. They were pretty but I have never ever felt such pain while trying to stand up straight, smile, hold flowers and concentrate on not fainting (it was hot in the auditorium). Over all it was a great time for all though. Good luck to Emily and Jeff.
Clara Paige did ask why they had such a teeny tiny kiss though. Ahh the minds of little ones!! I think she thought "the Kiss" was the whole reason for the shindig in the first place.
I will be sure to post some pics from the wedding soon.

Wachel Way

CP and I were watching Rachel Ray's ( pronounced in our house as Wachel Way) "30 Minute Meals" on Food Network today while the twins took their nap. When I got back in the room I asked CP what Rachel was cookin and the reply was, "I'm not sure. Its some kind of pasgetti. But she hasn't talked to me yet about what else she's cooking." Just thought that was too funny not to share. I suppose she thinks we have a direct link to Rachel and when she cooks she cooks just for us!! Funny how the child mind works. So innocent and pure.

To Chatch you all up

I'll post more later and add some pics but just to get everyone caught up I'll give ya some of the latest.
We had a very full weekend. Alex took the girls to Tusc. for Abby Lawson's bday party. Thanks Al. Greatly appreciated by me and Kim. I went to Emily Jones' Bridesmaids Luncheon. It was very nice and great so see some people I haven't seen in a while; especially Bethany. Sat-Sunday we spent at Al's parents house swimming. The girls loved it and Mags and Gracie have gotten so much better about swimming.
I went last Friday and talked to a company about a job and I guess you could say they offered it to me that day. So I start working Sept. 4th. I'm very excited about it. It will be part time and it's similar to what I was doing before. Not too excited about having to go back to work but it sound like it will be a great job. Hopefully just what Alex and I were looking for.
Well thats about it for now. I'll check back in again soon.

WAR EAGLE!!!!!!

WAR
EAGLE!!!!
As you can see we had an Excellent time this past weekend in AUburn, AL. We went to Auburn University's Fan Day on Saturday. We got to sit with Coach and get our football signed. He really is a great guy. He was really sweet to Clara Paige. All 3 of my girls loved being in Auburn. It makes a momma proud. Me, Al and CP went Friday night and stayed till Sunday. Mom and Dad brought the twins down on Saturday. Mom said they got up that morning wanting to, " Go to Aubie" as they call it. Mags and Gracie wanted to go see the real Aubie while we were there but when we got close to him they freaked out. Oh well, maybe next year. Clara Paige only likes to enjoy him from afar too, very very afar! We had a great time visiting our Alma Mater and spending the weekend with James and Linda Clemens. They are like family to us. We love them to death. Thanks so much to them for their hospitality as usual!!
No matter what team you may support Auburn really is our family and our second home!! There's no place like it anywhere. WAR EAGLE! GO TIGERS!!!

Here are a few pictures from a few days ago. The girls took turns wearing Nana's reading glasses and "reading" from some books they found. Mags is in the purple pajamas and Gracie is in the pink. Like how Gracie reads with hers on upside down?? Also they took a bath and heard Hannah Montana on the TV and had to run out to watch it hence forth the little hineys you might notice in the picture. Forgive the nudity but it was just too cute to pass up.

AU BOUND

Hi everyone. I must admit that this week has been kinda nice not having to go to work. We haven't been up to too much. It's been so stinkin' hot it's hard to get out and do anything. The girls have played in their swimming pool but we even do that early in the morning before it gets too steamy outside.
One funny thing that happened recently is that apparently my mom has a new name. Most of you know that the girls call her "Nana." Well mom made Gracie mad the other day (probably putting her down for a nap or something) and Gracie says to her, "NO NO!! NANNY NANNY!!!" We aren't sure where the Nanny came from but they all use it now on occasion. Gracie really uses it when she's mad at mom. It's pretty funny.
Also, the girls have been pretending a lot lately. The most recent craze it pretending to be Emma and Abby Lawson. At one point they all came running up stairs yelling, "Abby Abby where are you?" Cute huh?
Well we are venturing down to the loveliest village this weekend for Auburn's Fan Day. We are very excited! We love going to Auburn. In a way it's like going home for us. Clara Paige can not wait. She asks every day how many more days she has. We are staying with James and Linda Clemens and CP loves them to death. They are so sweet to open up their house to us. James is like my second dad and all. I think Mom and Dad might bring the twins down on Saturday, which happens to be mom's birthday. Maggie has also been talking about going to see Aubie. It should be a great weekend for us! I'll be sure to report back on that next week.
Hopefully I can put some more pictures up soon too. We still don't have our own computer up and running so I'm using my parents for the moment. So, maybe next week I'll have some great AU shots for all you Tigers. And for all my Ttown buddies, just hang in there b/c you know to love me is to love Auburn!!

Last pics at the house!

Here are a few pictures Kim Lawson took the last day at the house. I had to get some of my girls in front of their house before we left it for the last time. Kim was so good to have her camera with her b/c mine was packed up at the time. I'm glad we have such great friends and family to support us and love us. We sure do love them.

Go Away!

Last night we went to Church w/mom and dad. The girls really seem to love bible classes at Riverchase but it always takes the twins a few minutes to settle in. Mom stayed with them until their teachers arrived. Their teachers for Wednesday night are the Watts. You know TYLER and his wife. They really are nice and great people but Maggie was sitting down working on her puzzle and Tyler sat down beside her. He was trying to play with her and get her to smile when she pointed at him and told him matter-of-factly, "You go away!" Mom said it was funny! I suppose the orange and blue blood runs deeper than we thought! Haha. Just kidding! She really is a hoot.
Today mom is working and I'm here with the girls all day. I'm sure I'll stay busy all day long keeping them out of trouble. Gracie has already cleaned mom's picture with a wipe, Maggie has pretended to throw up in the bathroom, and CP has written her name on about 20 0f Pappy's index cards. It's only 9:47am. Pray for us. :)
Love to all!!

It's Over

OK so it's finally over. We are homeless! It's been exhausting and exciting all at the same time. We signed the papers Monday morning and Ttown is now a memory for us. I'm sure we'll be back to visit though.

I found these pictures and just thought they were cute! They aren't necessarily recent but still they are cute. The other night me and mom were laying on the bed with the girls and just talking and singing when Maggie announced in a matter of fact way to us all that, "Peter Pan is my best friend!" Not sure where that came from but it sure was funny!

Gracie wanted to go back to her Home Tuesday and got a little sad. Her YaYa, Maggie, consoled her by telling her our house was broken now. Funny!! :)

We went to see Granny ("Ganny" to the twins) yesterday. They all had so much fun visiting with Hunter and Granny. I'm glad we are closer now so they can visit more with their great-grandmother.

Not sure what we are going to do today but I'm sure the girls can find some trouble to get into.
